Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr. has signed a new contract after reportedly rejecting interest from a host of Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.
Spanish publication Marca reported last week that the 21 year-old is set to commit his long term future to the La Liga and Champions League winners by signing a new deal that is set to be announced next month.
The contract will see him become one of the best paid players at the club and is rumoured to include a buyout clause of 1 billion euros or £870m.

The Brazilian has been in fine form this season, and played a crucial part in Real Madrid’s successful season, so it is no surprise he has been attracting interest from not only the Premier League, but all across Europe too.
Marca also reported that PSG have been in constant communication with Vinicius since November of last year, and have been urging him not to sign a new deal with Real Madrid.

Since joining the Spanish giants in 2018 from Brazilian side Flamengo, the winger has made 170 appearances.
He's scored 36 goals and registered 43 assists in that time.
Vinicius was also a standout performer in the Champions League final in May.
Real Madrid edged Liverpool 1-0 at the Stade de France to clinch the trophy for the fourteenth time, thanks to the Brazilian’s goal in the 59th minute.

The report by Marca stated that the English clubs ‘registered their interest’ in the player but were informed Vinicius’ ‘priority’ was to stay with his current club.
After already signing Darwin Nunez for a fee rising to £85m, Liverpool will be less concerned with Vinicius’ contract extension, especially as they already boast two world class wingers in Salah and Diaz.
Man United and Chelsea have been lacklustre in this summer’s window so far, and their failure to sign the Brazilian superstar may prove costly if they are unable to bring in any big names.
