Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne has been ranked as the Premier League’s top earner, beating teammate Erling Haaland to the top spot.
After Haaland’s arrival from Borussia Dortmund in the summer, many reports claimed that the Norway superstar is the highest earner.
According to Sportsmail, Haaland is the top earner as he takes home more than £865,000 per week when all bonuses are added.

However, according to French news outlet L’Equipe, De Bruyne’s gross monthly wage is £1.7 million, whilst Haaland’s is only £1.609 million per month.
Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea has also been reported to take home the same money as Haaland, earning £402,250 each week.
Although De Gea is reportedly on the same weekly wage, Haaland is thought to take home far more when his bonuses are included.

Since joining City, Haaland has hit the ground running straight away as he simply cannot stop scoring.
Before the international break, the Norwegian scored five goals against Red Bull Leipzig in the Champions League, before scoring a hattrick a few days later against Burnley in the FA Cup.
In total, Haaland has scored 42 goals in 37 appearances across all competitions for City, with 28 of those coming in the Premier League.
With 11 games to go in the league, Haaland only needs five more goals to break the record for most goals scored in a season, currently held by Liverpool’s Mo Salah.
Salah just missed out on a place in the top three on L’Equipe’s list, who is on a reportedly weekly wage of £373,750. The Egyptian is joined in fourth place by United’s England winger Jadon Sancho.

Current Premier League leaders Arsenal have no players within the top five, but there is an expectation that their contracts will be vastly improved if they managed to clinch their first title since the 03/04 season.
