Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden starred in the new Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 advert.

The highly-anticipated Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 drop has delivered with a nostalgic campaign video featuring Manchester City midfielder Phil Foden and the return of Joga TV.

Back in 2005, the marketing geniuses at Nike promoted their new white and gold Tiempo's by bringing in much-loved Brazilian star Ronaldinho to perform keepie-uppie 'one two's' with the crossbar.

Soon, the advert would become the first video in history to amass one million views on video sharing website YouTube – a monumental achievement considering Facebook, Twitter and other social media sites were yet to hit the big time.

Nike would then re-release the iconic clip on their channel to mark its anniversary. Remember this one?

Fast forward 18 years and to celebrate the upcoming release of the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 trainers, the streetwear brand have dropped a trailer that brings in elements of that classic Joga TV advert.

As you can see from the footage below, the announcement begins with reporters from Korea, France and England speaking about the upcoming release.

Then, Nike ambassador and England international Phil Foden comes into shot with a 'Joga Bonito' crossbar challenge.

Like Ronaldinho in the mid 00's, Foden ties his laces before hitting the crossbar three consecutive times – a moment that will certainly get those nostalgic juices flowing.

Last week, after they announced its Air Max 95 collaboration with Nike, London-based Corteiz gave fans the chance to win a free pair of their shoes for free if they could hit the crossbar from outside the 18-yard box.

Real Madrid midfielder Eduardo Camavinga starred in the video featuring a British voiceover, who said: “Yo, mandem, gyaldem, you wanna pair of these Air Max 95s? Lemme show you what you gotta do. Dun know."

In the caption on Instagram, the streetwear brand informed fans that they would have two chances to hit the crossbar at a venue in London, with coordinates dropping on the Saturday morning.

The chance to win was based on a 'first come first serve' basis.
