Pascal Gross opened the scoring in the 30th minute, with the German midfielder netting a second nine minutes later.

Gross slotted home from close range after Danny Welbeck slid a ball across the box to make it 1-0.

Gross then made it 2-0 when he scored from close range again after David de Gea parried Solly March's effort.

The Old Trafford faithful reacted angrily to the half-time whistle, with fans booing their team off the pitch.

Roy Keane pulled no punches in his assessment of Man United's first-half showing.
