Manchester United CEO Richard Arnold Confirms Two Dressing Room Leakers Have Left The Club

Manchester United CEO Richard Arnold Confirms Two Dressing Room Leakers Have Left The Club

Manchester United chief executive Richard Arnold sat down with fans at his local pub and answered questions.

Manchester United CEO Richard Arnold has confirmed the two dressing room leakers have now left the club.

Arnold met with fans at his local pub, the Boot Inn in Willington, Cheshire after learning a group of supporters were set to protest outside his house.

The 51-year-old bought drinks for around 12 fans from 'The 1958' and answered questions about a range of topics surrounding the club's situation.

He admitted United had "f***ing burned through cash” in spending £1 billion on players and described last season as a  "f***ing nightmare".

One of the discussion points was the many negative dressing room stories that emerged under both Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

Gary Neville said the leaks were "disgusting" and claimed he knew he was responsible for what was coming out.

And Arnold, who has worked for United since 2007, is said to have told the fans that the two primary sources of the stories have departed.

Part of the conversation appears to have been secretly filmed and widely shared online. It's believed Arnold, although very open and honest on a number of issues, did not reveal the identity of the two players.

There's already been a mass exodus at at United this summer as part of a major overhaul, with Nemanja Matic, Paul Pogba, Jesse Lingard, Edinson Cavani, Juan Mata and Lee Grant all leaving on free transfers.

Arnold revealed new boss Erik ten Hag will have funds available to improve a squad which finished sixth last season.

But when it comes to upgrading Old Trafford and the AON training complex, Arnold explained outside investment was required.

"This summer, the money that the manager and director of football wants is there," he continued.

“For the future, for investing in a new stadium and that sort of stuff, for a £250 million training ground, we’ve got to do something, we’ve got to get investors in.

“I need that to do what I want for the club — I’ve got to have more cash than I have now.”
