Paul Scholes has criticised Jadon Sancho and Antony after Manchester United’s humiliating defeat against Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
Thanks to a hat-trick from both Erling Haaland and Phil Foden, Pep Guardiola’s side ran away 6-3 winners as United endured a difficult afternoon.
Two late goals from Anthony Martial softened the blow slightly but it was a harrowing reality check for Erik ten Hag and his men after their four-match winning streak was ended by City in emphatic style.
Former United man Scholes took to social media and slammed Sancho and Antony for not providing their full-backs with any help.

Diogo Dalot was booked after less than two minutes while Tyrell Malacia had an afternoon to forget as he was dragged off at half-time, replaced by Luke Shaw.
On Instagram, Scholes posted a picture of two former United players Ryan Giggs and David Beckham with a caption that read: “Anyone remember when wingers used to help their full-backs?”
In truth, City looked unstoppable as they were 4-0 up at the end of the first half and the game turned into a damage limitation exercise for United in the second half.

Two further goals in the second half inflicted one of the worst derby defeats in United’s long history.
Another ex-United player Roy Keane was far from impressed with his former team’s performance.
He said on Sky Sports: “From the players' point of view, they really should be embarrassed. You can't go in at half-time in a derby game 4-0 down, it's hugely embarrassing.
“As brilliant as City were, United were desperate. Particularly in midfield. Defensively all over the shop. Even the consolations, they scored a few goals but the game was over, City had switched off.”
Manager Ten Hag said in his post-match interview that his players lacked belief.

He said: “We had a lack of belief. I'm surprised why we didn't bring it on the pitch.
“It was four weeks ago, but I had seen a different team with a different spirit and a different vibe. Today, we weren't convincing. From the first minute, we were not on the front foot and we were not brave in possession.
“It's always difficult to find out why that is, especially straight after the game. I will have to talk to my players and find out.”
United will now have to dust themselves off as they prepare for their Europa League match against Omonia Nicosia, before a trip to Goodison Park to face Everton in the Premier League next weekend.
