Manchester United have spent over £1.4 billion since Sir Alex Ferguson retired in 2013.
In return United have won one Europa League, one FA Cup, one League Cup and one Community Shield, however, none of those trophies have been won in the last five years.
Erik ten Hag is no doubt doing his best to turn that around this year and has consistently stated that his side will go into every competition trying to win the trophy at the end of it.

For that £1.4billion, they managed to sign 52 players. Many have come and gone since but here are four United players you might have forgotten are still at the club.
Axel Tuanzebe
Tuanzebe's career took an unexpected turn when he went to Napoli on loan last season.

The United defender had just finished a second loan spell at Steven Gerrard's Aston Villa but his time in Italy was a nightmare.
He was left out of the Europa League squad and only made two appearances during his time with the Serie A club.
Tuanzebe then returned to United for the pre-season tour under Ten Hag but is yet to feature due to injury.
Phil Jones
A true United legend at this point, he has been through some incredibly tough times but Phil Jones has always been there when his side are in need.

Until Ralf Rangnick came to Old Trafford he had not played since he scored against Tranmere in the FA Cup back in 2020.
He was given a run of games in the side last season under Rangnick but is yet to feature in a squad under Ten Hag.
His contract runs out in June 2023 and is expected to leave the club.
Brandon Williams
A player who thrived under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but has been out of the picture for quite some time now after his loan spell at Norwich didn't quite go to plan is Brandon Williams.

He always fought hard but often lacked defensive awareness and the academy-graduate has struggled with injuries this season.
Williams has a contract with the club until 2024.
Teden Mengi
Another youngster that started his United career well and earned himself a good loan move to Derby County under Wayne Rooney.

Mengi played a lot under the United legend but again an injury disrupted his progress and he returned to Manchester.
He was then sent on loan again, this time to Birmingham City, but he once more found himself sidelined through injury and returned to United to recover.
Since recovering from injury he has returned to matches with the under-21s and could be sent on a third loan spell in January.
