Compilation Of Ederson's Distribution Is Insane, He's One Of The Best Passers In Premier League History

Manchester City have posted a three minute clip of Ederson's passing and it's ridiculous a goalkeeper is so good with the ball.

Manchester City have posted an incredible compilation of Ederson's distribution to further prove that the goalkeeper is one of the best passers in world football.

The former Benfica goalkeeper has just helped City to a fourth Premier League title in five seasons, winning the Golden Glove for the fourth consecutive campaign.

Ever since he joined for a fee of £35 million in 2017, Ederson has proved to be the perfect goalkeeper for Pep Guardiola's way of playing and acts as the very first attacker.

The 28-year-old is outrageously calm under pressure - as evidenced by the time he didn't even flinch when he casually played a pass on his own goal-line against Liverpool last season.

He's so comfortable on the ball and has a superb range of passing that most outfielders can only dream of.

And City have reminded us just how good a passer Ederson is by sharing a three minute video of his perfect playmaking.

It's accrued 345,000 views thus far and features several instances of Ederson opening up several Premier League opposition defences with that gorgeous left foot. The combination of power and accuracy is simply stunning.

It includes insane assists for Sergio Aguero and Ilkay Gundogan from his own box against Huddersfield and Spurs respectively, instances of Ederson bypassing the first line of press with ease and generally just wandering into midfield when boredom strikes.

He did just that against Norwich last term, coming out of his goal to snuff out on attack an taking a few touches before passing the ball to Phil Foden and jogging back.

Many in the past have claimed that Ederson could play outfield and the man himself, a Guinness World Record holder for the longest drop kick, agrees.

"If I were to go outfield like this, I would not ask to be a striker. I would prefer to play in the midfield, in Kevin's [De Bruyne] place," Ederson told the club's website.

"In the last minute, it is okay [to play up front], but if I were to choose, if someone asked me to play, I would say; 'Take off De Bruyne and play me'. It would not change anything!"

He played outfield in a charity game a few years back and scored twice - including a penalty.

Ederson has regularly talked about wanting to take a spot-kick in a competitive game for City but Guardiola has not allowed that to happen yet.
