Manchester United fans have picked their front three ahead of Everton match

Manchester United fans have picked their front three ahead of Everton match

United will be looking to get back on track in the Premier League this weekend.

Manchester United fans have seemingly picked their preferred front three ahead of their Premier League clash against Everton on Sunday afternoon.

Erik ten Hag had an afternoon to forget in United’s last outing in the top flight after they were utterly humiliated by local rivals Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s side came away 6-3 winners thanks to hat tricks by both Erling Haaland and Phil Foden.

After such an embarrassing defeat, United were looking to boost their confidence by winning comfortably against Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia on Thursday in the Europa League.

However, that did not go to plan as United were made to work hard and dig deep for all three points in Cyprus.

The Red Devils found themselves 1-0 down at halftime and needed a big second-half display to earn a 3-2 victory.

Substitutes Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial scored the goals that changed the match as the pair produced an impressive cameo.

After their stand-out performances, United fans have demanded they start their upcoming match against Everton alongside summer signing Antony.

One fan said: “Think we can all agree that Man Utd's front three against Everton should be Rashford - Martial - Antony.”

Another tweeted: “Front three vs Everton should be Rashford-Martial-Antony.”

A third fan added: “Yeah put Sancho on the bench for a few games and run Rashford, Martial and Antony.”

Martial also earned plaudits from the fans after he returned from injury by scoring three goals in his last two games.

A United fan said: “Martial has scored or assisted a goal every 19 minutes for Man Utd so far this season. Martial SZN.”

Someone else added: “Martial is different gravy. Please stay fit forever.”

However, Ten Hag has stated that he will be ‘careful’ with the Frenchman.

He said in his post-match press conference: “After a good pre-season, he fell out and only played a half game against Liverpool and we are happy he’s back.

“But we will take it careful, step by step in a process to bring him back, but he played now almost a half, so 35 minutes, which is good and now we have to extend that. But from game to game, and we have a lot of games to cover.”
