Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag is looking at alternative options to Harry Kane in his search to sign a striker with Tottenham Hotspur reportedly demanding £100m for the England international.
Despite only just confirming the signing of Wout Weghorst on loan from Burnley until the end of the season, United are already planning ahead and looking and permanent striking options they can sign in the summer.
According to Telegraph Sport, Kane is still keen on leaving North London and is in no rush to extend his contract at Spurs beyond 2024.

Sources close to the star say his preference is to remain in England as he has his sights set on Alan Shearer's all-time goal scoring record.
A move to Manchester City is now off the table after they signed Erling Haaland in the summer, but with rivals United holding a long interest in Kane, maybe a move to Old Trafford is on the cards.
Whilst it's the move that would make the most sense, the 29-year-old doesn't quite fit the mould of striker Ten Hag is looking for.
It may also be bad value for money, even with one year left on his contract it was reported that Daniel Levy would still expect any English club to cough up £100m for Kane's services.
Osimhen is preferred
The Dutch manager is believed to prefer a faster forward with Napoli's Victor Osimhen rumoured to be someone that he admires.

The 24-year-old Nigerian is currently the top scorer in Serie A with 12 goals in 14 appearances with his side opening up a nine-point gap at the top of the table.
His displays in Italy have been praised by opposition managers including former Napoli boss Walter Mazzarri who has described him as "phenomenal", as quoted by Goal.
If United were to focus their attention on signing Osimhen then it would leave Kane's options limited.
He could decide to move abroad but given the fixation on wanting to take the goal record it seems unlikely.

A move across London to Chelsea would cause, or maybe he could head to the North East and emulate Shearer's greatness at newly rich Newcastle.
