Journalist reveals latest update from Man Utd about potential Harry Kane signing

A journalist has revealed the latest update from Man Utd about the potential signing of Harry Kane.

Sources claim that Manchester United are set to go 'all out' to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham this summer, according to a journalist.

The Daily Mirror reported earlier this month that Kane is United's top target for this summer, with boss Erik ten Hag keen to land a new forward on a permanent deal following Cristiano Ronaldo's departure.

Wout Weghorst is currently on loan at the club from Burnley, although various reports have claimed United will not launch a bid to sign him on a permanent basis.

Kane's Tottenham contract expires in the summer of 2024, with the Daily Mail claiming that the England star is yet to make a decision on his future and will hold talks with Spurs chiefs at the end of the season.

If Spurs cannot convince the 29-year-old to sign a new deal, they could lose him for free when his contract expires - unless they sell him this summer.

United could, therefore, test their resolve with a bid - and a new report claims that this will happen during the upcoming transfer window.

Harry Kane to Man Utd update

According to Football Insider journalist Wayne Veysey, there is positivity at United's training ground, Carrington, over the possibility of Kane joining the club this summer.

It is claimed that Ten Hag and his staff see Kane as the 'perfect number nine' for the side's system, and the 29-year-old is therefore the club's number one priority.

Furthermore, Veysey alleges that United will 'only turn to other forwards on their shortlist if there is no way Spurs will let him go or an agreement can't be reached with the player'.

The club have also been linked with potential moves for Napoli star Victor Osimhen and RB Salzburg wonderkid Benjamin Sesko.

Sesko has agreed a deal to join RB Leipzig from the beginning of next season, although United have sent scouts to watch the Slovenian play and ESPN claim that a bid of a large enough fee to Leipzig could convince them to waive their agreement to sign the player and allow him to move elsewhere.
