Bundesliga giants offer lucrative deal to "world-class" target wanted by Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle

Bayern Munich have reportedly offered Liverpool, Arsenal and Newcastle United target Marcus Thuram a lucrative deal to remain in the Bundesliga.

Thuram, the son of legendary French defender Lilian Thuram, is out of contract with Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer.

The 25-year-old has attracted attention from the Premier League after scoring 13 goals in 17 appearances for Monchengladbach in all competitions this season.

He is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January onwards.

According to 90min, both Arsenal and Liverpool are both monitoring the striker, who is part of France's World Cup squad, while Newcastle have also been linked with him.

Monchengladbach could be prepared to sell Thuram in January rather than risking him leaving on a free in the summer.

Last year, they opted to sell Dennis Zakaria to Juventus in similar circumstances, with the midfielder nearing the end of his deal with the German club.

Bayern 'offer Thuram five-year deal'

While Thuram is being strongly linked with a move to English football, Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset, as reported by Newcastle World, claim Bayern Munich have offered the striker a "lucrative" five-year deal.

Monchengladbach boss Oliver Neuville has already admitted "it will be difficult" for the club to keep hold of Thuram, who was described as "world-class" by Wolfsburg sporting director Marcel Schafer earlier this year.

Neuville told Radio Sportiva: "He's having an amazing season. He's scored a lot of goals. I think it will be difficult for him to stay at Gladbach. If he continues to score so many goals, it's certain he'll have many offers from Italy, Spain and England.

"We must also be a little realistic. I hope he will still be here for a long time in Monchengladbach.

"But now he's been called up by French for the World Cup, it will be difficult for him to extend. I hope (he stays). But the chances are slim."

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has also confirmed there are "many clubs" interested in the 25-year-old.

"Yes, Thuram could be an opportunity because he's a player who will be available on a free next summer," Romano told GiveMeSport.

"He is not extending his contract and so there are many clubs interested in him from Italy, from England and from France."
