Mason Greenwood has been dropped by Nike despite all charges against him no longer being pursued.
On Thursday it was confirmed that the 21-year-old had charges of attempted rape, assault and coercive control against him dropped by the Crown Prosecution Service
Key witnesses withdrew their involvement in the case before the scheduled trial in November, while it was said "new material came to light".

In response, Greenwood thanked family, friends and loved ones but United reiterated that he remained suspended and that they would conduct an internal investigation.
On Sunday, fans became aware that the England international had made a number of changes to his Instagram account.
The handles for both Manchester United and Nike football were added to his bio, while over 100 images were deleted from his feed - with just nine remaining.

He also removed a display picture and fans wondered whether it was hinting at a return.
However, Nike have confirmed that they have cut all ties with Greenwood, who wore their boots in all of his 129 appearances for United.
"Mason Greenwood is no longer a Nike athlete," the American sportswear giant said in a statement given to The Mirror.
Their stance follows up a previous statement given around a year ago, with Greenwood also removed from FIFA and eFootball video games.
Greenwood has not returned to training and it's been reported that United's players have 'made their feelings clear' over the forward coming back into the picture.

Some believe it could prove to be unwanted distraction when United are going well under new manager Erik ten Hag.
A source told The Sun: "The players are open to him returning to the team but the scrutiny could be massively distracting.
"The dressing room is the happiest it has been for ages and no one wants to rock the boat."
