Mason Mount lost his head after being trolled with fake FIFA 23 card by Chelsea teammates

Mount took it to heart.

Mason Mount wasn't happy after being pranked by his Chelsea teammates with a fake FIFA 23 card.

The latest instalment of EA Sports' hit franchise launched worldwide on Friday to much fanfare. To promote the game, Chelsea decided to troll one of their star players by tampering with his rating.

Mount is an 84-rated card in FIFA 23, a plus one upgrade to his card in FIFA 22. The 23-year-old helped Chelsea to two cup finals and a top four finish last season

It naturally means the England international will have been expecting stat increases across the board. Everyone knew that and decided to play the cruellest joke on Mount.

He was brought into a room to take a peek at his card with a GoPro strapped to his head, which captured his raw reaction perfectly.

"Oh my god! My pace is 69," he says while putting his hand to his mouth. Mount's fake card is also given an 82 rating, which would've been a harsh decrease.

He then throws the case with his rating on in the bin before being comforted by Ben Chilwell. The full-back gives his friend a hug who then declares: "My head is gone."

Mount surveys the room again and finds his actual rating hidden away from the rest, which he was a much bigger fan of.

Conor Gallagher admits that is the real one and then says his real pace of 74 is still too slow.

"They ain't faked my physical because that's the same still," Mount adds. "This is borderline being in the bin but it can stay there."

Mount has featured eight times for Chelsea this season but is yet to score. He did manage to get on the scoresheet in England's 3-3 draw with Germany earlier this week, however.

Chelsea parted ways with Thomas Tuchel last month and replaced him with Graham Potter, who is still waiting to manage his first Premier League game for the club.

The Blues are currently seventh in the Premier League and return to action on Saturday afternoon against Crystal Palace.
