Viral video of Brendan Schaub talking about Messi, Mbappe and 'Needermeyer' is painful viewing

Viral video of Brendan Schaub talking about Messi, Mbappe and 'Needermeyer' is painful viewing

It's got fans online talking.

Apparently, Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar play in the Premier League. Or should I say 'Needermeyer'...

Obviously, the trio play their club football at Paris Saint-Germain. But Brendan Schaub, the former NFL player who turned his hand to MMA, is under the bizarre impression they ply their trade in England.

He also butchered the Brazil superstar's name, hilariously calling him 'Needermeyer'. Yes, he really said that.

Bryan Callen didn't help himself either as he called the France forward - wait for it - 'Mgappe' in another horrible attempt at pronouncing their names.

But Schaub produced the biggest epic fail in thinking that Messi, Mbappe and Neymar play in England's top flight.

Needless to say, the video of Schaub and Callen discussing the World Cup and the PSG forwards sent social media into overdrive.

One Twitter user joked: "Mbappe scored 7 touchdowns and got the golden donut."

A second wrote: "You get to Neydermeer and think it can't get worse. Then he says premier league and you give up on life."

A third added: "Hands down, ‘Needermayer’ was best part of this clip..."

A fourth said: "The fact that they say all this with straight faces is comedy genius."

Someone commented: "Ask them to explain off side. That will be pure comedy."

Another joked: "The most American thing I’ve watched all day."

At least he was right about them being teammates and Mbappe winning the Golden Boot at the World Cup, right?!

Anyway, 'Needermeyer' - I mean Neymar - and Mbappe could feature for PSG when they resume their league campaign next week.

As for Messi, he'll probably return in the new year following Argentina's World Cup triumph.
