A video of Lionel Messi, Neymar, Marco Verratti and Vitinha toying with Benfica shows how good the Paris Saint-Germain stars are in tight spaces.

Messi, Neymar, Verratti and Vitinha brilliantly linked up in the first-half, hitting one-touch passes during their 1-1 draw with Benfica on Wednesday.

The PSG stars showed how efficient they are in possession, squeezing passes to each other in a sublime sequence.

Verratti started the passage of play, picking out his fellow midfielder Vitinha, who slid in Messi.

From there, the Argentine forward flicked the ball to Neymar, who popped it to Verratti.

The Brazilian was then dispossessed, but Verratti retrieved the ball and played a pass to Messi, who controlled the ball impeccably.

The 35-year-old laid up the Portuguese midfielder, who switched the play to bring an end to an incredible passage of play between him, Messi, Neymar and Verratti.

Naturally, the footage of PSG toying with Benfica got fans online talking.

One Twitter user wrote: "Amazing how easily they play in such small spaces, it's cheating."

A second tweeted: "Their linkup was so good all night long."

A third added: "This 10 min spell first half they were toying us."

Vitinha expressed his frustration at the result, saying there's 'no point playing well if they don't win'.

He said via Get French Football News: "The result] is below expectations. Benfica’s quality is not a surprise, they’re a lot better than last year. But we were expecting to go back with a different result, instead we’re returning with a draw. We have a match in Paris [next Tuesday] and we’ll do everything to show that we should have won the match tonight.

"[…] The best would be to add the win. I know that I’m giving my answers on the pitch. I’ve been working hard but there’s no point in playing well if we don’t win. We wanted the win."

PSG have recorded seven points from their opening three group stage matches.

The French giants return to league action on Saturday as they travel to Reims.
