Mikel Arteta claimed that Arsenal must reach 90 points to have any chance of winning the Premier League, but stressed that his only focus was the club’s next match against Manchester United.
The Gunners moved eight points clear at the top of the Premier League table with a 2-0 North London Derby win against Tottenham on Sunday.
Indeed, after Manchester City’s defeat to a resurgent United on Saturday, a first title in 18 years appears Arsenal's to lose.

It would take an almighty wobble from the Gunners if they are to fall short.
Nevertheless, next Saturday’s encounter against United, who have put together nine consecutive victories, could prove to be another crucial match if Arsenal are to claim the title.
Arteta makes Man Utd comment
Despite Arsenal’s comfortable position at the summit, Arteta insisted his side needed to accumulate a massive points tally if they are to win the league and added that his focus was on the club's next match, against United.

Asked if his side needed over 90 points to win the League the Spaniard said: “One hundred per cent yes, I do.
“I don't want to do too many calculations. It's how we are going to prepare for the game against Man United now, to get another three points and play well and deserve to win.
“You ask me about points but it's happened in the last four or five seasons so it will demand almost perfection.”
At present Arsenal are on course to surpass 90 points. Nevertheless, Arteta was still coy about his side’s chances of winning the league this term.

While in-form United are next, the north London side go into the fixture without fear, having beaten West Ham and Brighton, drawn with Newcastle and swept aside Spurs in their last four games.
