Mohamed Salah Shows A New Side With Straight Talking Interview, Fans Didn't Expect It

Mohamed Salah Shows A New Side With Straight Talking Interview, Fans Didn't Expect It

The Liverpool forward is ready to take out four years of frustration on Real in the Champions League final in Paris later this month.

Mohamed Salah has been very honest that he wants to get revenge on Real Madrid, when Liverpool face them in the Champions League final.

Liverpool reached their third Champions League final in five years, on Tuesday night, when they overcame an early scare against Villarreal to make it through their semi final.

At the time the Reds didn't know if they'd be playing Premier League rivals Manchester City or Spanish giants Real in the final on May 28th.

However after the final whistle, Salah went on television to say that he wanted to face Carlo Ancelotti's team, whilst also revealing his personal targets for the season.

Now that Los Blancos have defeated City, the Egyptian has revealed that the reason he was hoping to face them in Paris at the end of the month was for revenge.

Speaking at the Football Writers' Association end of season awards, where he picked up his Footballer of the Year award, Salah was asked if he was on a 'revenge mission,' saying, "Yeah. It’s revenge time."

Of course it was in 2018, the first time the club reached the final of Europe's top tier competition under Jurgen Klopp, that Salah wants revenge for.

Then the two sides met in a game that Real were favourites for, as they were attempting to become European champions for the third year in a row.

However Liverpool started the stronger with Salah at the heart of everything good from Klopp's side, and looked a real danger to Zinedine Zidane's side.

But his match was cut short after he tangled with Sergio Ramos and he had to go off injured in the first half thanks to the injury sustained to his shoulder.

Speaking at the awards, the former Roma forward added, "They beat us in the final last time. It was a very sad day for all of us, so yeah.

"We have to focus on the Premier League first. We have four games left and so do City. We wish they will drop points. We just need to focus on the Spurs game and then go from there."

The club are still on for a potential quadruple, which would be an incredible unmatched achievement in England, beating Manchester United's treble from 1999.

They still remain a point behind City in the league and have to defeat Chelsea in the FA Cup final, if they win both of those then Salah with have so much to play for in the Stade de France.

And if he doesn't get revenge on Real, he can at least pop round to Ramos' house in the French capital to have a word with the PSG defender...
