Mo Salah Forced Off With Injury After 32 Minutes In FA Cup Final Vs Chelsea

Mo Salah went off with an injury at Wembley Stadium and was replaced by Diogo Jota.

Liverpool were dealt a huge blow in the FA Cup final as Mo Salah was forced off after 32 minutes.

The Reds were sweating over goalkeeper Alisson Becker when he appeared to be in some serious discomfort after a collision with Marcos Alonso.

But while the Brazilian goalkeeper was able to shake it off, moments later Mo Salah was sat in the turf after picking up an injury.

Jurgen Klopp decided to take no risks ahead of the upcoming Champions League final with Real Madrid in Paris and promptly substituted his top scorer for Diogo Jota.

Salah wasn't in tears like in the 2018 Champions League final following that Sergio Ramos challenge, but was visibly furious and walked straight down the tunnel.

It continues a wretched record for Salah as in ten finals, he's scored one goal and that was the penalty to open the scoring against Spurs in 2019 in Madrid.

According to sports correspondent Carrie Brown, Liverpool confirmed Salah had sustained a "sore grain" and of course everyone connected with them will be hoping it's only minor problem.

Midfielder Fabinho was ruled out of the Chelsea clash with a hamstring injury picked up against Aston Villa in midweek, meaning skipper Jordan Henderson slotted into the deep-lying role.

The former Monaco man did travel with the squad to Wembley and there's optimism he will be fully fit for the Madrid showdown.
