Mo Salah Passed On Advice To Egypt Goalkeeper Before He Saved Sadio Mane's Penalty

Mo Salah was seen telling the goalkeeper where his Liverpool teammate Sadio Mane takes his penalties.

Mo Salah gave Egypt goalkeeper Mohamed Abou Gabal advice before he saved Sadio Mane's penalty in the Africa Cup Of Nations final.

Senegal were awarded an early spot-kick when Saliou Ciss was taken out after getting in behind down the left flank.

Talisman Mane was the man who stepped up to take the penalty but his Liverpool teammate Salah did him dirty.

The former Chelsea man was seen talking to his goalkeeper, with Mane coming over shortly afterwards and not looking too happy as he cupped his mouth and pointed.

Mane blasted his penalty but Gabal, who was Egypt's hero in the semi-final shoot-out win over Cameroon, made a superb save to deny him.

Salah and Mane had expressed their delight at playing against one another on the big stage beforehand, while Jurgen Klopp has confirmed his attacking double act will not be having a rest following the final.

"These two boys are real warriors,” Klopp told the media in a press conference.

“They are constantly ready. They are both not worried about holidays or days off. I never heard them ask about it, so especially with these two, it is really simple. I know they want to play immediately but together with them we have to find out how much sense it makes. You can imagine both want to play against Leicester, both want to be involved, score goals and win football games for Liverpool.”
