Leaked pictures have emerged online that suggest Newcastle United will wear the green and white of Saudi Arabia next season.
Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund, who own 80% of the Premier League club after last year's high-profile takeover, purchased the Magpies for a reported £305 million last October.
Newcastle have since spent around £90 million on players in the January window and more big signings are expected in the coming months, although Eddie Howe says they have restraints in regards to Financial Fair Play.
We have already seen the impact of PIF in recent months and according to The Daily Mail, Newcastle's away kit for the 2022/23 campaign will carry the traditional colours of the Gulf state.

As you can see in the images below, Newcastle's crest has been coloured green. The shirt, designed by kit suppliers Castore, also features a green trim on the neck and sleeves as well as a green Castore badge.
Twitter user @aycazehraakcay leaked the images on social media earlier.
It's expected the reported away kit will attract criticism from many. Here's how social media reacted to the kit release.
Earlier this week, Twitter user @aycazehraakcay also leaked pictures of Newcastle's new home kit for next season, with the majority of fans reacting positively to the 'retro' look.

One fan said: "They’ve simply done black and white stripes and it looks nice. Juventus take note," while another commented: "Looks so much better than this season's shirt."
A third wrote: "This gets my seal of approval."
Newcastle manager Eddie Howe, who has predicted an "ambitious" transfer window this summer, was recently asked about new sponsorship deals.

"I’m sure there are plans under way," he said. "I’m sure there are big ambitions, but I don’t know."
And as mentioned earlier, Financial Fair Play will play a role in the coming seasons for Newcastle as they look to strengthen the squad.
“There’s an element of truth in that [talk of reduced budget],” Howe said.
“With Financial Fair Play, we have restraints and we have things that we have to work within, so we can’t just go out and spend money on players like maybe teams could have done in the past and totally change their squad within one transfer window.

“That is not an option for us. The more money you spend in one window, the more it impacts upon your ability to then spend in windows beyond. The rules are there to govern the game properly and we have to follow suit, so that does impact upon what we can do this summer.
“But it doesn’t mean that we’re totally without ambition. We want to try to bring the right players in, ones that are proud to wear the shirt and that can make a difference.
“We’re well aware that we have to change the squad and we have to make improvements, but it’s going to be a difficult balance.”
