Bernd Leno furiously clashed with Neal Maupay after being stretchered off with a serious knee injury during Brighton vs. Arsenal.
Leno landed awkwardly after colliding with Maupay and the German keeper was heard screaming in agony.
The Arsenal stopper received treatment before leaving the pitch on a stretcher and as he departed the game, he angrily yelled at the Brighton striker.
Leno was subsequently replaced by Emiliano Martinez in the 40th minute.
Fans on social media debated whether Maupay was to blame for Leno's horror injury.
"Good on Leno for correctly making the point to Maupay. If you're going in for a ball that you aren't getting to then you're risking injuring someone, that's on you," one social media user wrote.

A second tweeted: "Leno had already caught the ball before Maupay made contact. He is the sole reason Leno got injured there, can completely understand Leno's anger."
A third argued: "That's not on from Leno. Making Maupay feel awful for challenging a ball he had every right to go for."
Maupay went onto score Brighton's match winner deep into stoppage time to secure a 2-1 victory over Arsenal.
