Manchester United skipper Harry Maguire and Liverpool star Virgil van Dijk are amongst the players to be named in the Premier League's statistical Team of the Season so far.

WhoScored compiled the team based on the best-performing player for each position, with the side lining up in a 4-4-2 formation.

Arsenal shot-stopper Bernd Leno beat Liverpool's Alisson between the sticks with a 6.9 rating.

Leicester City's Ricardo Pereira scored a 7.5 rating and takes up his place at right-back, while Everton's Lucas Digne is the team's left-back thanks to his 7.2 rating.

Maguire's 7.1 rating earns him a place in a centre-back partnership with Van Dijk, who scored a 7.4 rating from WhoScored.

Van Dijk, 28, has helped transform Liverpool since his signing in 2018 and helped his side capture the Premier League title this season.
