Joey Barton's time at Rangers may be over after the midfielder was banished from Murray Park after a bust up with teammate Andy Halliday.
The news couldn't come at a worse time for the Ibrox club, who are coming off the back of a 5-1 mauling by Celtic in the Old Firm derby, on Saturday.

Barton will now not feature against Ross County on Saturday, after becoming involved in a heated verbal exchange with Halliday during training, according to The Scottish Sun.

It is believed that the confrontation isn't the first incident involving Barton since he joined the club in the Summer. Words were apparently exchanged in the Rangers dressing room after the 1-1 draw against Hamilton on the opening day of the season and again following a narrow 2-1 win over Dundee.

Manager Mark Warbuton sent Barton home and informed him not to report back until Monday while also warning the former Burnley man that if his conduct doesn't improve in the future, he will face the axe permanently.
