Cristiano Ronaldo has paid tribute to Diego Maradona after his sad passing at the age of 60.
News of the legendary Argentine footballer's cardiac arrest and unfortunate death emerged today and the footballing world has been in mourning over the loss of one of the greats.
Footballers alike have been offering their condolences on social, one being five-time Ballon d'Or winner Ronaldo.

The Juventus superstar took to Instagram to react to the sad news, calling Maradona "an unparalleled magician" who leaves "a void that will never be filled".
Translated, his post reads: "Today I say goodbye to a friend and the world says goodbye to an eternal genius. One of the best ever. An unparalleled magician.
"He leaves too soon, but leaves a legacy without limits and a void that will never be filled. Rest in peace, ace. You will never be forgotten."

Pele, another one of the all-time greats, has also reacted on Twitter.
Accompanying a brief statement with a picture of Maradona, the 80-year-old wrote: "What sad news. I lost a great friend and the world lost a legend. There is still much to be said, but for now, may God give strength to family members.
"One day, I hope we can play football together in the sky."
