Did Dani Alves Wipe His Snot On Cristiano Ronaldo Last Night?

Their rivalry runs deep...

Cristiano Ronaldo and Dani Alves have a bit of a storied rivalry from their time playing against one another in El Clasico and one would think they don't exactly see eye-to-eye.

Last night brought further evidence that the two are anything best pals.In the 15th minute of the Champions League last 16 second leg match, Ronaldo almost came to blows with the PSG full-back after appearing to kick out at the Brazilian veteran.

The incident, which wasn't picked up by the match officials, wasn't the only episode between the pair.

Some fans, as well as Spanish TV station El Chiringuito TV, have picked up on what happened later on in the game when Alves was marking Ronaldo on a corner.

The former Barcelona man appeared to wipe snot from his nose onto his hand, before rubbing in on Ronaldo's sleeve.

It looks pretty clear cut if you ask me, though we are eager to see what explanation Alves has for his antics.

There's clearly no love lost between the duo, with Alves criticising the five-time Ballon d'Or when talking about Lionel Messi in 2015.

"Messi is much better than Cristiano Ronaldo. Messi influences the game, Cristiano doesn't," he told ESPN, via the Daily Mail.

"He doesn't influence the game beyond scoring goals and being involved in a few actions. Messi is influential - he plays, scores and makes assists. Messi has a divine gift, Cristiano is about work.

"I don't admire the things he does because I play as part of a team. And my team is more important than I am. I don't think he sees what really matters, which is the group."
