Erling Haaland has reassured Borussia Dortmund fans over his future after he stormed off the pitch at the end of his side's 2-2 draw with Koln.

The 20-year-old Dortmund striker was in fine goalscoring form on Saturday as he scored a brace at the RheinEnergieStadion.

Haaland has now scored a remarkable 33 times in 31 appearances this season as he shows little sign of slowing down.

However, the Norwegian star grabbed the headlines after he showed his anger with the result at full-time.

Haaland was spotted removing his Dortmund shirt and tossing it at a member on the opposing team before he stormed straight down the tunnel.

The Norway international, who is under contract until 2024, has been linked with a potential exit from Dortmund amid speculation linking him to Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea and Real Madrid.

Dortmund could face difficulty keeping hold of Haaland in 2022 as his Β£68m release clause will become active.

But Haaland has now broken his silence on social media by thanking Dortmund fans for their "continued support."

The former RB Salzburg striker wrote to his 7.4m Instagram followers: "Not a great result. We will use this as motivation to be back stronger!

"Thanks to all the [Borussia Dortmund] fans for your continued support. We will be back soon!"

Haaland opened the scoring early on for Dortmund against Koln, but Edin Terzic's men failed to maintain their lead going into half-time.

Ondrej Duda pulled back an equaliser from the spot-kick before Ismail Jakobs fired Koln into the lead in the second half.

Haaland rescued a point for Dortmund in the 90th minute as the German side continues to push for a Champions League place.

Dortmund are currently fifth in the Bundesliga and are four points behind fourth-place Eintracht Frankfurt.

Terzic's men will resume their Bundesliga campaign after the international break as they host Frankfurt at the Westfalenstadion.
