An angry fan furiously destroyed his TV after Jorginho finished third in the Ballon d'Or rankings.

Jorginho claimed a spot in the top three of the Ballon d'Or 2021 rankings, finishing ahead of the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah.

The Chelsea and Italy midfielder had a strong case going into the ceremony having excelled for club and country this year.

He won the Champions League last season and starred for his national team, winning Euro 2020 in the summer.

But some fans weren't convinced by his campaign, with one supporter in particular going to extreme lengths to show his anger.

The Snapchat user expressed his frustration over Karim Benzema's Ballon d'Or ranking before absolutely losing his mind when Jorginho's standing was revealed.

He smashed up his TV, booting the device in rage as he was left stunned by the 29-year-old's position in the Ballon d'Or rankings.

Only two players finished above Jorginho.

Robert Lewandowski finished runner-up to Lionel Messi, who took home an unprecedented seventh Ballon d'Or title.

Speaking about his record-extending triumph, he said: "It's incredible to be here again.

"Two years ago, I thought it was the last time. People were starting to ask me when I was going to retire but now, I'm here in Paris and very happy.

"It's a special year for me with this Copa America title. It meant a lot to win [1-0 against Brazil in the final] at the Maracana stadium and I was so happy to celebrate with the people from Argentina.

"I don't know if it's the best year of my life - I've had a long career - but it was a special one with the title with Argentina after the tough times and the criticism."
