Fans reckon Ajax have cloned Matthijs de Ligt after seeing Perr Schuurs star for the Amsterdam outfit against Liverpool this evening.
After former skipper De Ligt joined Juventus in a £67.5 million deal, Ajax refrained from splashing big money on a replacement as they already had one waiting in the wings.
Schuurs is only three months younger than De Ligt but after initially seeing him ahead of him the pecking order, his departure has proved to be a blessing for the former Fortuna Sittard man.

Ajax have such an incredible academy set-up and model that when they lose a generational talent like De Ligt, another player emerges from the ranks.
Schuurs, who bears resemblance to his fellow Netherlands international in his appearance and build, is basically the same player as the defensive prospect that came before him.

Strong, commanding and a great reader of the game, the 21-year-old was incredibly impressive at Anfield in the Champions League group fixture.
He's been heavily linked with the Premier League champions and enhanced his reputation further with a superb captain's display tonight. Though plenty were in agreement that he and De Ligt are the same person/player.
Schuurs has become a key player in the Netherlands capital, making 17 appearances in all competitions.
