Marouane Fellaini has become the latest footballer to test positive for Covid-19, but perhaps surprisingly he's the first to play in the Chinese Super League to contract the virus.
The virus originated in China, and led to rumours of footballers wanting to leave the country before it became widespread, and Odion Ighalo had to train on his own when he first moved to England, joining Manchester United on January transfer deadline day.
Whilst several players in Europe are confirmed cases of the virus, Fellaini has become the first in the CSL to be confirmed as having Coronavirus.

He posted the following message on social media to confirm the news.
It is believed Fellaini caught the virus in Dubai but was tested in Jinan on March 20th.
Whilst Covid-19 started in the Far East the number of new cases has started falling and China has confirmed just one new case in the past four days.

The CSL remains suspended, as most leagues around the world also are, but at least the season hadn't started meaning, unlike Europe there's no questions to ask about what to do next.
Fellaini joined Shandong Luneng from Manchester United last January and scored 13 goals in his first season in all competitions.
Olympiakos and Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis tested positive for the virus two weeks ago, leading to Arsenal players, who had recently played the Greek side, to go into quarantine ahead of their Premier League game with Manchester City, with that match being the first in England to be postponed due to the virus.

Real Madrid also had to but their players in self isolation after one of the club's basketball players, who share the training facility with the football team, tested positive.
There are also many other cases of the virus affecting football clubs and players.
