The ongoing transfer saga involving Kylian Mbappe has taken another twist after the brother of PSG owner Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent a very clear message to Real Madrid over social media.

It was reported earlier this week that the Ligue 1 side are now considering offloading prized asset Mbappe after the French forward rejected a new five-year contract.

In fact, the former AS Monaco man, who scored 27 goals in the league last season, has already turned down more than three different proposals from Paris Saint-Germain to extend his deal at the Parc des Princes, according to Fabrizio Romano.

On Tuesday evening, it then emerged that Los Blancos had made a formal offer of €160million (£137 million) to sign Mbappe; a bid that was swiftly rejected by the French club.

Hours later, Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Thani, who is a relative of the Emir of Qatar Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, appeared to send a clear message to Real Madrid on social media.

"If you agree to the specified price, contact us." he wrote. "Or complete the season with the golfer."

The 'golfer' reference is clearly aimed at Gareth Bale, who returned from his loan spell at Premier League side Spurs this summer. His hobby of playing golf has been the subject of many jokes in recent years,

Khalifa Bin Hamad Al Thani's antics on social media have certainly captured the eye of late. In another PSG-related post, he posted a picture of Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo in the club's jersey.

He captioned the Twitter post with the word 'maybe' in Spanish, English and French.

Despite all the transfer rumours involving Mbappe, PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino believes the World Cup winner will stay at the club for another season.

"Mbappe is working very well. I see him staying with us this season," he said last week.

"There are many rumours [about a move to Real Madrid] but he's calm. We want him to stay here. He has one more year on his contract with us. Even if he does not renew, he is still a PSG player."

Thoughts on the Mbappe saga? Should he leave PSG this summer?
