Valencia star Goncalo Guedes scored a goal of the season contender against Osasuna on Sunday.

Guedes scored his side's first goal in scintillating style as Valencia beat Osasuna 2-0 to claim all three La Liga points.

The Portuguese international opened the scoring in the 12th minute after he produced a moment of magic to find the back of the net.

He went on an incredible run, skipping past four players before smashing a stinging shot into the top corner that left the keeper with no chance of saving.

Guedes' insane solo goal sent social media wild.

"Speed, grit, skill, determination, poise, beautiful. Guedes has just scored one of the goals of the La Liga season," one social media user wrote.

A second tweeted: "No words can do this goal justice. Absolutely brilliant."

A third added: "WOW, what a goal from Guedes."

Guedes has put his name in the hat for La Liga goal of the season. His effort comes a few days after Karim Benzema bagged a stunning goal for Real Madrid.

The Frenchman netted a tremendous volley versus Valencia on Thursday.

Meanwhile, the victory moved Valencia to 46 points, one point behind Real Sociedad and Villarreal who occupy the last Europa League spot.

'Los Murcelagos' resume their league campaign against Eibar on Thursday.
