Jack Grealish was at his irresistible best as Aston Villa beat Leicester City at the King Power Stadium last night.

Ross Barkley's long range strike in the 91st minute ensured the Villains have taken maximum points from their four games this season and sees them in second position following a strong start to the season.

And although on-loan Chelsea man Barkley was the match-winner, Grealish's performance was a playmaking masterclass.

The skipper, with his socks as low as his sense of gravity, was an absolute joy to watch throughout. His close control and dribbling ability was just special and so too was his manipulation of the ball.

He constantly drew fouls from Foxes defenders who could not get the ball off him and simply resorted to kicking him out.

The stats also back up his impressive outing. Nobody on the pitch created more chances than Grealish (4), no player completed more take-ons (8) and he also played more passes in the final third than anyone else (20).

Grealish was so good that even England boss Gareth Southgate can't help but have been impressed by the display he conjured up.

Check out his highlights here, including a filthy backheel pass around 1 minute and six seconds into the video.

While Southgate continues to favour Mason Mount and the pressing he brings to the table, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers believes the Three Lions are lucky to have a player of Grealish's ilk.

"But I think England are very fortunate to have Jack's talent," Rodgers said, as per the Daily Mail.

"I've seen the improvements in him as he's grown as a young player. His personality on the field is absolutely fantastic. He's got a real inbuilt brain for football.

"When he carries the ball, his awareness of his space really shows me the talent he is. He understands where space is, he gets tackled a lot, he stays on the ball a bit longer than other people and draws fouls but also draws people out of position. His weight of pass is exceptional.

"He's a marvellous player and one of a number of players with England that are very talented."
