Arsenal defender Sead Kolasinac hit headlines on Thursday after he was filmed fending off knife-wielding attackers on mopeds after they were trying to stela Mesut Ozil's car.

The Bosnian showed tremendous bravery and spirit to leap out of the vehicle and bring it to the armed assailants with just his bare hands.

And it's not the first time that a footballer has taken no prisoners from a thief. Enter Leonardo Bonucci. Back in 2012. the Italian was part of an attempted mugging outside of a Ferrari dealership when he was with his wife and young son, Lorenzo.

Bonucci was looking to buy a new set of wheels when a masked man pointed a gun at his head and demanded that he hand over his watch.

Your average Joe would probably have made the sensible decision to give the watch to avoid the situation escalating any further but Bonucci wasn't having it, punching the bloke in the face and running after him.

To complete the quite remarkable story, the gunman ended up taking off on the back of his accomplice's scooter and according to Gazzetta dello Sport, shouted, "What are you doing? Are you mad? I'll shoot you." He and his family were unharmed thanks to his no-nonsense approach.

Seven years on Kolasinac, nicknamed "The Tank" demonstrated that same fearlessness on Thursday evening. There were two attackers with knives in hand but he did not come to play.

Police issued the following statement confirming that they spoke to the pair immediately after arriving to the scene.
