Manchester United are in a "false position" in the Premier League and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is not the "man to take them forward."
That's according to former Liverpool player Jason McAteer, who doesn't believe United would be that far ahead in the top four if it were a 'normal season.'
The Red Devils are second in the Premier League and are 10 points behind newly-crowned champions Manchester City.

United are four points ahead of third-place Leicester City and could end the season with silverware as they face Villarreal in the Europa League final later this month.
However, the Red Devils' form has dipped after suffering back-to-back Premier League defeats.
United suffered a 2-1 defeat to Leicester at Old Trafford on Tuesday, which was followed up with a 4-2 home defeat to Liverpool on Thursday.

McAteer has now insisted that there is "still a lot of work to be done" at United, saying Solskjaer doesn't have the "cutting edge" to win the Premier League title.
Speaking to Free Super Tips, the 49-year-old said: "If everything were normal this season, then I don't think they would be that far ahead in the top four.

"I don't think they'd be sitting in second in the Premier League, so, in that respect, they are in a false position.
"There's still a lot of work to be done for them and I don't think Solskjaer is the man to take them forward.

"He's done a decent job but when you're at Manchester United it's about winning trophies and winning Premier Leagues and he hasn't got that cutting edge to do that."
United legend Roy Keane was critical of the Red Devils' performance against Liverpool.
Keane also launched a scathing attack on Scott McTominay and Fred, saying that United "will not be winning any big trophies" with the midfield duo.
