A Manchester United fan named Paul has gone viral for an incredible rant that dismantles the state of the entire football club.

It's been a season of turmoil for United, who appointed Ralf Rangnick as interim manager on Monday after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer earlier this month.

They currently sit eighth in the Premier League and many think a new era is about to begin. One man who doesn't however, is Paul.

He rung in to talkSPORT and expressed his anger at what's going on right now, calling out current players in addition to pundits.

When asked if it matters who comes in, Paul says: "Listen, we've got a very poor and unbalanced squad. The start of this season so many people told me we'd be challenging for the league. The number of pundits who said that is embarrassing..."

Paul then criticises executive vice chairman Ed Woodward for his dream of appointing a 'long-term manager' in the current climate.

Solskjaer spent nearly three years as manager and returned zero trophies in that time, something Paul thinks should've seen him 'shifted out' a long time ago.

He then calls out the appointment of Rangnick and is confused about what his role will be.

"I don't understand this Rangnick appointment at all," he continues. "If he's a Director of Football, make him a Director of Football. If he's a manager, make him a manager. It makes no sense.

"This guy will either be brilliant or will explode the football club. For a club that had Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in before that, who wouldn't say boo to a goose, it's an extraordinary appointment. I'm hopeful he's brilliant, of course I am!"

Returning to the balance of the squad, Paul then targets pundits such as Gary Neville who've praised the current crop of players.

Paul stressed: "It's a nonsensical decision from a football club who have no direction but seem to think they're sitting on a squad who are going to be brilliant. Gary Neville thinks that, people there who have British passports get away with murder."

Among those mentioned are Harry Maguire, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Luke Shaw, with the latter being criticised for having 'six good months in eight years.'

Jim White, Danny Murphy and Simon Jordan all looked visibly shocked at the rant the longer it went.

United return to action on Thursday evening against Arsenal and it'll be Michael Carrick in the dugout for a third time as manager.

Rangnick still has visa issues to work through and his first game could come against Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon.
