David Alaba brilliantly consoled a heartbroken Neymar after Bayern Munich beat Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

Alaba and Neymar shared a touching moment after the final whistle on Sunday.

The Austrian international approached the Brazilian megastar then comforted him at full-time.

Needless to say, the exchange between Alaba and Neymar sent social media into overdrive.

One Twitter user wrote: "Pure respect for Alaba consoling Neymar after the game."

A second tweeted: "While every other Bayer Players where jubilating on the pitch... Alaba was busy consoling Neymar. Absolute respect for this man."

A third added: "Alaba great sportsmanship comforting Neymar at the end."

Bayern secured their sixth European title after Kingsley Coman's header in the 59th minute.
