Nicolas Anelka Offers Message Of Support To Sam Allardyce

A lot has been said about the controversy surrounding Sam Allardyce's dismissal as England manager, with very few fans sharing much sympathy for the former West Ham boss being exposed in an undercover sting by The Telegraph. However, one former player of Allardyce's has offered his former manager some support.

Nicolas Anelka, who played under Big Sam at Bolton Wanderers, is no stranger to infamy and has left more than one club in a cloud of controversy during his career.

Taking to his official Facebook account, Anelka posted the message, "So sorry for this story big sam! U were the right man for England and I still believe u are! Doesn't matter what u did or what u said we all do mistakes ... The most important is we still love u! Thanks for everything."
