Peter Crouch is poised to win a UEFA poll for the best overhead kick after pleading for people to support him.
With it being the one year anniversary of Cristiano Ronaldo's sensational acrobatics for Real Madrid against Juventus on Wednesday, UEFA asked fans to vote for their favourite overhead kick.
As well as Ronaldo's stunner, options included Mario Mandzukic's belter in the 2017 Champions League final, Gareth Bale's angry worldie after coming on in last year's final in Kiev and finally, Crouchy's against Galatasaray at Anfield in 2006.
In the hope of finally getting that winning feeling, Burnley striker Crouch hilariously tweeted to ask fans vote for him so that he could tell his kids about it him beating three world-class players.

And folks on Twitter quickly voted in support of the well-travelled front-man as he now leads the way with 53% of the nearly 150,000 votes.
There are just three hours of the poll remaining and it's going to take an absolute miracle for the 38-year old to not emerge victorious.
The former England striker needs the win much more than any of the three but he was quick to point out a year ago, when Ronaldo stunned the Allianz Stadium, that not many players have that acrobatic prowess in their locker.

Crouch's response was one of his best very on social media and it promptly went viral.
