Eight days after celebrating a goal against Albania by cupping his ears, Manchester United captain Harry Maguire was sent off in their 4-1 defeat to Premier League strugglers Watford.
The 28-year-old's attempts to send a defiant message to his critics on that day at Wembley were labelled "embarrassing" by Roy Keane, who went on to slam Maguire's club performances as a "disgrace".
Well, things didn't exactly go to plan for the England international on Saturday afternoon. Just five minutes after picking up a yellow card for hauling down Ismaila Sarr, United's captain was sent for an early bath.
He dawdled on the ball in the 69th minute and as a result, Watford midfielder Tom Cleverley took advantage. Moments later, Maguire brought him down and referee Jon Moss had no other option but to send him off.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer then proceeded to high-five Maguire as he made his way down the tunnel.
It was another day to forget for Solskjaer's men, who went 2-0 behind at half-time after goals from Joshua King and Ismaila Sarr.

Donny van de Beek, a bright spark in the game after coming on as a second-half substitute, gave United hope with a close-range finish but they conceded twice in the final minutes as Joao Pedro and Emmanuel Bonaventure secured a 4-1 win.
The Reds now sit seventh in the Premier League, 12 points behind leaders Chelsea.
Thoughts on that United performance at Vicarage Road? Is it time for Solskjaer to go?
