England booked their place in next year's World Cup in Qatar after knocking ten goals past minnows San Marino in Monday night's qualifier.

It was a walk in the park for Gareth Southgate's side as goals from Harry Maguire, Filippo Fabbri [OG], Harry Kane [4], Emile Smith Rowe, Tyrone Mings, Tammy Abraham and Buyako Saka sealed the emphatic 10-0 victory.

The result inside the Stadio Olimpico di Serravalle came just days after the Three Lions picked up another three points in Group I, beating Albania by five goals in another straightforward win at Wembley.

Despite bagging 15 goals in two games in recent days, with Harry Kane scoring seven of those, the international break has left plenty of England fans yearning for Premier League action.

In fact, an iconic speech from Harry Redknapp has emerged on social media in recent hours, where he moaned about 'losing interest' in games involving Gareth Southgate's side and a lower standard of opposition.

"We don't win anything!" Redknapp said on BT Sport. "We qualify, we beat all these teams, 10 out of 10 we win. We get to the tournament - useless.

"I've even lost interest, I'm sitting the other night and not even watching the game."

Redknapp continues: "I hear the commentator go 'we're playing Malta and this number 18, he works at the checkout counter in the week'.

"I'm thinking, 'what am I watching this for?' I can't wait for the Premier League to start again. I'm excited, coming here, watching a proper game [Crystal Palace vs West Ham].

"That fortnight [international break], for me, is a dead fortnight."

Redknapp isn't the only person to find the lack of quality from England's opposition an issue.

In a Twitter post during the England vs San Marino game on Monday night, Michael Owen expressed his true feelings towards these types of fixtures.

"Rapidly falling out of love with watching international football barring the big tournaments," Owen wrote.

"I think a lot of people feel the same way. Half of these games are absolutely pointless. A restructure is needed.
