Never change, Roy.

Roy Keane has questioned why someone would speak to an opposition player for over 20 minutes in one of his most iconic punditry moments to date.

Ahead of England's final Group D clash against Czech Republic. the former Manchester United midfielder pitched in with his thoughts on Mason Mount and Ben Chilwell's lengthy post-match chat with Billy Gilmour.

It was confirmed on Tuesday that both Chelsea players would miss the game at Wembley after the pair came into close contact with Gilmour following Scotland's 0-0 draw against the Three Lions.

It is believed the trio had a 25-minute chat in the tunnel and now must complete 10 days of self-isolation following the incident, meaning they could even miss England's round of 16 clash later this month.

Speaking about the news, Keane admitted he "very rarely" speaks to anybody for over five minutes before jokingly admitting that includes his wife.

He said: "Why would you want to speak to an opposition player for over 20 minutes? I don't care if he's your club team-mate or not - I very rarely speak to anybody for over five minutes." This is priceless.

Gareth Southgate expressed his confusion behind the decision in a pre-match interview.

"They [Mount and Chilwell] are hugely disappointed to miss the games," Southgate told ITV. "We just have to get on with it.

"It is a bizarre situation, they have spent 120 seconds too long in a fairly open space. It is full of contradictions for me but we will get on with it.

'I don't understand it because there are teams travelling around by planes, coach and by bus in enclosed spaces for hours and our two boys have been pinged. I really don't get it."
