Liverpool recently won their first pre-season game against Stuttgart 3-0 after goals from Naby Keita, Roberto Firmino, and Rhian Brewster.
However, the game was overshadowed by Joe Gomez's dirty play to break the elbow of a Stuttgart player.
Erick Thommy, the Stuttgart player in question, was receiving the ball in Liverpool's half on the left-wing. With Thommy already sealing out Gomez from the ball, Gomez lashed out with a shove by dropping his shoulder into Thommy's back, sending the player flying into an advertising board.
The result from the immature foul has put Thommy out for six to eight weeks with a broken elbow and will miss the start of the Bundesliga.

The despicable foul didn't lead to a sending-off for the English CB, with Liverpool going on to score another two goals in the game.
Fans on Twitter rightfully disagreed with the decision, especially for the foul to happen in a meaningless friendly.
Liverpool play Leeds United on the first day of the Premier League season on September 12th.
