PSG Are Planning Cristiano Ronaldo Transfer If Kylian Mbappe Leaves Club

Cristiano Ronaldo's Premier League return still feels extremely fresh, but now he might be about to leave the English topflight and join one of the richest clubs in the world.

Ralf Rangnick is now officially the new interim manager and Manchester United.

He comes with a reputation of enjoying a long-term project and instilling a fast, pressing philosophy in his attacking sides. After his six-month period as interim boss, Rangnick will then take a seat upstairs in an advisory role at the club for two years.

Ronaldo - despite being one of the best players of all time - is not suited to a high-press, and has been criticised already this season for being static off the ball. It has led some to question whether the incoming Rangnick might even ditch the Portuguese legend altogether, placing him on his bench or perhaps even looking to ship him out.

Ronaldo's representative, super-agent Jorge Mendes, believes Kylian Mbappé will leave Paris Saint-Germain in favour of a dream transfer to La Liga leader Real Madrid next summer.

In return, according to El Nacional, Mendes hopes PSG use some of their earnings from that potentially landmark sale in order to buy Ronaldo.

It would mean Ronaldo and Lionel Messi - the two best players in the world for 12 years or more - might finally get to play on the same team together.

United's No 7 had previously stated his wish to retire at Old Trafford, but he has also said that about other clubs, including the Portuguese team he began his senior career with all the way back in 2002: Sporting CP.

For United fans, this will come as worrying news. For the neutral, it will be more divided. Some will want to keep one of the world's best in the Premier League for as long as possible.

Others will be salivating at the thought of finally getting to see Ronaldo and Messi take the field together not as opponents but as teammates.
