Cremonese defender Michele Castagnetti scored one of the goals of the century earlier in a dramatic Serie B clash against Virtus Entella. Trust me, you need to see this.

Here's how it went down at the Aldo Gastaldi Stadium on Monday night.

With Cremonese 1-0 up against their opponents, Virtus Entella goalkeeper Alessandro Russo thumped it up the pitch to try and ease some pressure on the home side but seconds later, he was on the back foot again when Castagnetti unexpectedly let rip with his first touch.

The ball soared in the air for what felt like an eternity before nestling into the back of the net. Wow.

The 31-year-old Italian has channelled his inner Peter Kay with this "AVE IT!" half-volley effort from distance.

Here's another angle of the goal.

Cremones went on to secure all three points as they climbed to 14th in the Serie B ladder, meanwhile Virtus Entella remain in the relegation zone but ultimately, it was Castagnetti's strike from 70-yards that grabbed the headlines.

One Twitter account wrote: "Forget every goal you've ever seen. Cremonese's Michele Castagnetti has just outdone every single one of them."

Another said: "I swear I spent four years at university trying to score this exact goal on PES with Adriano."

Is this one of the all-time great goals?

Let us know your thoughts in the comments. We certainly think so.
