We Can't Stop Watching This Angle Of Thiago's One-Of-A-Kind 'Thunderball' Goal vs Porto, It's Perfection

The perfect angle of a goal didn't exist... until now.

Step forward Liverpool's Thiago Alcantara and his one-of-a-kind strike against Porto in the Champions League group stage on Wednesday night.

Everything about it was sensational. The technique. The timing. The thunderball, as Jurgen Klopp called it in his post-match interview. "Whoever sees Thiago in training knows he has the technique to do it but it doesn't happen constantly," said the German. "It was a thunderball, a great goal."

The Premier League side would pick up all three points against their Portuguese opponents as they maintained their unbeaten run in Europe but this moment was the highlight. Just look at this angle. Utter perfection.

Sky Sports pundit and former Celtic manager Neil Lennon was left stunned by the strike.

"Oh my goodness what a goal!" he said in disbelief. "What a finish. Thiago comes onto it on the half-volley and he sends an absolute beauty low into the corner.

"I cannot tell you how difficult the tariff for this skill is. It is magnificent. [Diogo] Costa had absolutely no chance, he probably couldn't see it till late. It's totally against the run of play because Porto have missed two unbelievable chances.

"But this is caviar, Jules. It's gone through the legs of [Fabio] Cardoso as well, that is absolutely magnificent."

Mohamed Salah, who has scored 17 goals in 17 games this season, went on score a second in the 70th minute as Liverpool made it five wins in five games in Group B alongside Atletico Madrid, AC Milan and last night's opponents FC Porto.

Jurgen Klopp was pleased with the result but thought his side could have performed better in the opening 45 minutes.

"It was good, we could have done better and been more calm in the first half but we were a bit hectic," he said.

"That is not unusual when you put a team out that has not played together a lot. Some people think we might play an easy game but we were not here for that, Anfield is sold out so we want to go for it."
