Real Madrid's Vinicius Jr Comes Up With Inexplicable Miss Against Sevilla

Vinicius Jr missed a golden opportunity in the 1-0 win.

Vinicius Jr produced a bizarre miss for Real Madrid against Sevilla this afternoon.

The young Brazilian forced the winner that was eventually given as an own goal to Yassine Bounou but he missed inexplicably in the same game.

Bounou made a goalkeeping gaffe when he dropped the ball out of his hands and as it bounced on the ground, Vinicius was in a great position to pounce.

But somehow, he swung his foot wildly and got nowhere near the ball just before Bounou's blushes were spared and he collected the ball.

We're still looking for an explanation as to how he got it so badly wrong but it's safe to say the former Flamengo man's miss garnered reaction aplenty on social media:

The 20-year-old has made 15 appearances for Los Blancos this term, scoring three times.

He hit headlines after it emerged Karim Benzema had told teammate Ferland Mendy not to pass to him during a Champions League game.

The two eventually cleared the air in training after Benzema apologised.
