Jon Jones has intensified his rivalry with Daniel Cormier by blasting him on social media over his stunning loss at UFC 241 on Saturday.

Stipe Miocic picked up a sensational victory over 'DC,' 40, and stripped him of the UFC heavyweight championship at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.

And Jones, 32, took to Twitter to praise Miocic as the best heavyweight of all time and slate Cormier for being at the top of the UFC pound-for-pound rankings.

"Stipe is hands down the greatest heavyweight of all time. I have nothing else to say," 'Bones' tweeted.

"Now can we stop playing games with these pound for pound rankings already.

"I guess losses don't matter when you're getting paid so much on the front end."

Cormier started off the fight strong and even landed a huge slam on Miocic in the first round.

But the UFC star couldn't stop Miocic from producing a sensational comeback after he turned up the pressure and secured a fourth-round stoppage to claim the heavyweight title.

'DC' admitted after the fight that he needed time to decide on whether he would retire from the sport, which would end any hopes of seeing a third Cormier-Jones clash in the octagon.

"You know, you don't make decisions based on emotions," he said.

"But, it is a tough pill to swallow. And uh, at forty years old, you know, with so many other opportunities.

"I need to speak to my wife and we need to make an educated decision as to what we are going to do."

UFC president Dana White also said he was unsure of the American MMA superstar's future in the octagon.

But he revealed that he told 'DC' to take some time off to decide if he wants to fight again in the UFC.

"I don't know what the future is for Cormier," White said in the post-match press conference.

"I told him, 'Don't think about whether you want to fight again, you don't want to fight again and any of that stuff.

"'Just relax. Go home and spend some time with your family and we'll talk about all that s**t later.'"

Should 'DC' retire from UFC?
