Neymar responded to Teji Savanier's foul in brutal style by seamlessly dribbling past the helpless Montpellier midfielder and leaving him red-faced.

Paris Saint-Germain thrashed Montpellier 5-0 at the Parc des Princes on Saturday and tightened their lead at the top of Ligue 1.

But Neymar, 27, took no prisoners during the clash and exacted his sweet revenge on Savanier.

Savanier, 28, initially fouled the PSG superstar by kicking him in the back of the legs as he tried to win the ball.

With PSG awarded a free-kick from the resulting challenge, Neymar wasted no time in dealing with the Montpellier player in a one-on-one showdown.

The Brazilian forward received the ball from the quickly taken free-kick and dribbled his way up to Savanier.

While putting the 28-year-old off with his fancy footwork, Neymar invited Savanier to commit to the challenge.

Savanier foolishly committed and the Brazil international skipped past him in the opposite direction as the Montpellier player scrambled to chase after him.

And fans have praised Neymar for putting Savanier in his place with his incredible moment of 'pure disrespect.'

One Reddit user wrote: "No better way to say f**k you to someone than to outplay them. He could have gone down easily there too and got a yellow card for the guy. Really good from Neymar."

While another posted: "He's one of the most talented players in history."

User rarelychee said: "What a power move."

A fourth added: "A piece of that man died right there in that pitch at that moment. He'll never be the same again."

Pablo Sarabia opened the scoring for PSG in the first ten minutes before Angel Di Maria doubled their lead in the 41st minute.

Thomas Tuchel's men took a 3-0 lead into half-time thanks to an own goal from Daniel Congre.

Kylian Mbappe scored PSG's fourth in the second half before Layvin Kurzawa sealed a 5-0 win over nine-men Montpellier.

Despite the victory on the night, PSG superstar Mbappe was furious with his manager after he was subbed off in the second half.
