City had actually started reasonably well but were rocked by the opener. Then eight minutes later, Oxlade-Chamberlain added a second with an absolute thunderbastard. James Milner regained possession and when the ball fell to the Liverpool No.21 outside the box, he let rip and produced a net-bulging strike.

The England international scored a tidy opener in the 4-3 league win at Anfield but his strike tonight was different gravy. You just don't save them.
